(Getty Images) Are Kurt Russell  and Goldie Hawn  finally getting married after watching their sons wedding ceremony? Thats the latest tabloid story about the couple of 36 years. Gossip Cop has learned its untrue. Russell and Hawn have remained happily unmarried for more than three decades, but according to the National Enquirer, the longtime partners have decided to tie the knot. The final push the couple supposedly needed was watching their 33-year-old son, Wyatt Russell, marry actress Meredith Hagner over Labor Day Weekend. “Kurt and Goldie were impressed that Wyatt embraced marriage and want to make sure his kids know their grandma and grandpa are married too! ” says an anonymous source. “Goldies never loved anybody the way she does Kurt, ” the alleged tipster continues, “and realizes they should spend their golden years as man and wife! ” The outlet further contends that the two are planning a Christmas wedding, as the couple thinks “it will be a great way to ring in the New Year. ” It should be noted, this is Wyatts second marriage after previously getting hitched to stylist Sanne Hamers in 2014 before divorcing in 2017. The magazine doesnt bother to explain why Hawn and Russell only felt motivated to marry after their sons second time walking down the aisle. Additionally, Wyatt doesnt have any children yet, so were not sure who the tabloid is referring to when it says “his kids. ” Hawns two children from her previous marriage to Bill Hudson both have three kids, but the outlet doesnt ever refer to them. Hawn and Russell have simply never felt the need to obtain a marriage license to prove their love and dedication to one another. Hawn explained on  The Oprah Winfrey Show  all the way back in 1991 why she has no interest in getting married. “If you leave the door open, ” she said, “youll never walk out of it. ” The actress also joked that she and Russell were “far too together” to get married. A source close to the situation confirms that Hawn and Russell havent changed their stance on marriage in the nearly four decades theyve been together. Gossip Cop has had to debunk many fake rumors about the longtime couple over the years, but these phony articles typically involve a breakup. We busted the Enquirer back in 2017 for a phony cover story about Russell and Hawn splitting over the actresss so-called “secret lover, ” who didnt exist. The following year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloids sister publication, OK! for wrongly reporting  Russell and Hawn were calling it quits. As recently as June, we called out the Globe, another one of the Enquirer s sister outlets, for publishing a bogus article about Russell and Hawn desperately trying to “save their romance, ”  After all these years, the tabloids still have zero insight into the couples relationship.

Usually, after she reaches her current age, she will get sunken cheek which is a normal thing. So how can she get that plump cheek when she had to have sunken cheek? The answer is by using fat grafting surgery. This plastic surgery treatment is used by taking fat from other parts of the body usually on the thigh area then inject the fat anywhere needed, in this case, the cheek area. By using it, she appears younger and fresh because of her plump cheek. Even when most of Goldie Hawn anti-aging treatment is considers successful, but it seems that she has done it over and over again which makes her face looked bloated because of the surgery effect. Even when the plastic surgery is not gone wrong, but continues use will also create a botched result. Luckily for Goldie Hawn, she is still able to cover her bloated face with makeup. However, it would be better when she stop using any other surgery since it will make the effect worsen thus she might not be able to cover it again with makeup. It is important for a celebrity to know when to stop.

Hawn drives the present owners of her childhood home in Maryland crazy by suddenly appearing whenever she wants to. Personal Quotes (26) in 1977] Monogamy is impossible these days for both sexes. I don't know anyone who's faithful or wants to be. Men are much simpler mechanisms than women. Nothing changes them. even when they have a midlife crisis, they do it in a mindless way. that's why I think we should let men go off and have affairs and drive fast cars and dream of being virile- and we should run the world. We can't hold on to our youth, but what you can hang on to is all the things we've been told a zillion times: you have to find the light in your life that you had when you were a little girl or little guy that made you happy. Oh, I don't think of myself as a Buddhist. I was born Jewish, and consider that my religion. A rested face is a beautiful face. However you can, find your place of rest and peace. Peter Sellers was great to work with. A lovely man. A little bit crazy in that he. you know, as I say, it was hard. It was sort of balancing a very delicate spirit on a needle. You know, because you never know where he was going. But I gave him a birthday party once, and he said to me, you know, Goldie, I'll never have a home like this. I'll never have a house like this, and I would like a piece of me in your home. And he sent me a French armoire, and I still have it. That was after he ate his birthday candle, which is a whole other problem. [on Peter Sellers] He was completely in his moment, in his truth, at all times there was never a break. He was able to witness how funny he was, and yet not have any control over his ability to. inability to stop laughing at himself. We would have to break for lunch sometimes, because we couldn't bring him back. But, you know, you couldn't get a knife in between who he was playing and his comedy and his truth. It was all there together, which is what made him a genius. It's wonderful to move forward technologically, but we cannot forget that we are human beings who thrive on relationships, who thrive on interconnectivity, who thrive on sharing your feelings and emotions. I noted that people are happy here in India. When I went back home, people had everything in the materialistic sense and were surrounded with abundance, but they were not happy. Society, honestly, hasn't tempted me to do very much. I am compelled to continuously see the bright side. It is in my DNA. My kids look at me and say: Mom, you're so happy. And I do feel happy. I feel joyful inside. I can't explain it. [why she and Kurt Russell aren't married] We've both been married. I've been married twice, it didn't work. He was married once, that didn't work either. And, you know, we were at a time when we had kids and thought, Well, you know, what actually would it do to get married. I like being independent. I like being his girlfriend. I like that notion. I think it's sexy, and I do think that it's a way of saying, You know what, I don't own you, and there's no paper that says that. My union with you is in my heart and it's in my promises' you know, and that's the best you can do. [why she missed the Oscars ceremony when she won her Academy Award] We were just beginning to film here ( There's a Girl in My Soup (1970) in England) and it was impossible for me to leave. It would have set them back a full week. I suppose I could have stomped out and said I was going but I couldn't do that. They'd been waiting and waiting to get started, and I would have felt bad about delaying them longer. So it was a decision we all shared. I've been practicing modalities of Eastern philosophy since about 1972. What I've learned through my meditation is a sense of equanimity, a sense of all things being equal. I have a light personality and a deep-thinking brain. Those are two very different things. Even during the days when I could have gotten myself into some fine trouble, I was a good girl. I was a little worker bee. I was dancing and working from the age of 18. I did dance in rock clubs, but I made money at it. I treated it like a job and just went home. It's so hilarious that I embodied the whole idea of this free-spirit "Laugh-In" girl, but I was really very conservative. [observation, 1979] Hollywood is the cruelest place on Earth. Values are incredibly bad. People are too easy. Money is too easy. People are vicious. They smile at you and stab you in the back. You can't confide in anyone. And the most successful people never grow. Their egos are weird. That's why we never go to Hollywood parties. People are phony and stilted. They stare at each other and go off with a different person every night. It's disgusting. And people are so cold. They never make a real, deep commitment to each other. The Russians are the most hospitable people in the world, and they would feed you even if they had to go hungry themselves. I'm a woman who was raised to believe that you are not complete unless you have a man. Well, in some ways it's true. I am a feminist to a point. But I'm not going to deny the fact that I love to be with men. It took a few years for anyone in Hollywood to honor my title as producer. They all shied away from it, thinking I was just a woman who wanted control. All I ever wanted to do was exercise a certain level of power, which I had earned. I wasn't someone who just appeared on the scene and demanded a producer's credit. If you don't like yourself then you're really gonna be angry with people when they say they love you. So it's best you love yourself first so then you can honor their love. Marriage ends up being a business deal because at the end of a marriage, no matter how long or short it is, somebody owes somebody money. And I was on the short end of the stick on that one. So I look at that and I thought, well this is ridiculous! This kind of thing when you're together two, three, four, even five years- it's an inappropriate amount of money you have to pay. It's ridiculous to base your relationship on money. My life is not dictated by outside perception. It's only dictated by the things I choose to do. [comment on dating culture, 2017] I like to be pursued. I like that relationship. Women are now basically pursuing men. My career has been a very odd one. It's never been a career about romance, or playing the girl dependent on the man. I always played certain characters, kooky, quirky or strange. So I'm lucky that way. Looking back on who that person was, it's odd, because I'm not like that anymore. But I identify with her very much, because that's who I was. [in 1976, on carrying Bill Hudson 's child while still legally wed to Gus Trikonis] I am not having this baby in a closet! Initially gaining exposure for his work as a graffiti artist, Goldie became well known for his pioneering role as a musician in the 1990s UK jungle, drum and bass and breakbeat hardcore scenes. He released a variety of singles under the pseudonym Rufige Kru and co-founded the label Metalheadz. He would later release several albums under his own name, including the 1995 album Timeless, which entered the UK charts at number 7. Goldie's acting credits include the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, Guy Ritchie 's Snatch (2000) and the BBC soap opera EastEnders (2001-2002. He has also appeared in a number of celebrity reality television shows, including Celebrity Big Brother 2 (UK) Strictly Come Dancing, Come Dine with Me and Maestro. Early life [ edit] Price is of Jamaican and Scottish heritage. [1] 2] He was put up for adoption and raised in childcare homes and by several foster parents. [2] According to his 2002 autobiography, he was physically and sexually abused during this time. [3] Price was a member of the breakdance crew Westside, based in the Whitmore Reans and Heath Town areas of Wolverhampton, in the 1980s. He later joined a breakdance crew called the Birmingham Bboys, and made his name as a graffiti artist in the West Midlands. His artwork around Birmingham and Wolverhampton was featured heavily in Dick Fontaine 's documentary Bombin. He took part in the largest-ever British graffiti art battle alongside Bristol artist Robert "3D" Del Naja, who later formed Massive Attack. He is mentioned for his graffiti in the book Spraycan Art by Henry Chalfant and James Prigoff, which contains several examples of his art. He moved to the United States owing to graffiti projects, and also started selling grills (gold teeth jewellery) in New York and Miami; he continued this business after his return to the UK in 1988. [2] His nickname stems from "Goldielocks" an earlier nickname given to him during his Bboys days and subsequently shortened when he no longer wore dreadlocks. [2] Music [ edit] By 1991, Price had become fascinated by the British breakbeat music scene when his girlfriend, DJ Kemistry, introduced him to the pioneering jungle and drum and bass producers Dennis "Dego" McFarlane and Mark "Marc Mac" Clair, known as 4hero. [2] He went on to execute some design and A&R work for 4hero 's Reinforced Records label. In 1992, Price made his first appearance, by contributing to an EP by Icelandic group, Ajax Project. [4] For many years, the track was repeatedly misattributed to Price himself, perhaps because of his subsequent use of "Rufige" as moniker for his own releases. His releases Killa Muffin b/w Krisp Biscuit and the Dark Rider EP were released under the alias "Rufige Cru" on Reinforced. [5] His track "Terminator" released under the name "Metalheads" in 1992, 6] was a hit in the jungle scene and is noted for pioneering the use of time stretching. [7] In 1993, he released Angel, another 12" on the Synthetic Hardcore Phonography label. 1994 saw him setting up his own record label, Metalheadz. [5] Goldie next to a "Metalheadz" tattoo, 2001. His first studio album, Timeless, followed in 1995. Timeless entered the UK Albums Chart at number seven. [8] The album fused the breakbeats and basslines common in jungle with orchestral textures and soul vocals by Diane Charlemagne. The album's title track was a 21-minute symphonic piece. Inner City Life. a track from the album, reached number 39 in the UK Singles Chart. [8] Timeless helped to popularise drum and bass as a form of musical expression. [9] The music critic Simon Reynolds noted that Price's credentials as a musical innovator – and particularly as one of the key driving forces of innovation in the jungle/breakbeat scene – were exceptional. "Goldie revolutionised jungle not once but thrice" he noted in The Wire magazine, continuing, First there was 'Terminator' pioneering the use of time stretching) then 'Angel' fusing Diane Charlemagne 's live vocal with David Byrne / Brian Eno samples to prove that hardcore could be more 'conventionally' musical) now there's 'Timeless' a 22-minute hardcore symphony. 7] In 1996, he released the Toasted Both Sides Please remix of the Bush song " Swallowed. which topped charts in the USA and Canada. [10] 11] 12] Price released his second album, Saturnz Return, in 1998. The album's opening track, Mother" is an hour-long orchestral drum and bass piece. The album featured appearances by David Bowie, Noel Gallagher and KRS-One. The album met with mixed reviews. David Brown of Entertainment Weekly called the album "ambitious but monotonous and overlong — Pink Floyd with a gold tooth. 13] In 2002, Price said that he had been working for three years on a film called Sine Tempus, 14] described as a coming-of-age story of a young paintbrush artist. In 2006, he announced the soundtrack as his new album. [15] The album was released via the Metalheadz website in 2008, but the film has not been released. Price is known for his work as the leader of Rufige Kru. The group has no fixed members and has included drum and bass producers such as Technical Itch, Heist, Cujo, Agzilla Da Ice, Danny J, Doc Scott and Rob Playford. March 2013 saw the release of The Alchemist: The Best of Goldie 1992–2012, featuring prominent tracks from throughout Price's musical career. [16] A subsequent compilation, the three-CD Masterpiece set released by Ministry of Sound in 2014, brought together tracks that influenced him ( Soul II Soul 's "Back To Life" Roy Ayers. Everybody Loves The Sunshine" with cuts that soundtracked his entry into the rave scene and key moments from the drum'n'bass scene. [17] In 2017, the Goldie album The Journey Man was released, which Price described as his " magnum opus " and "the most important thing that Ive ever made. 3] Acting career [ edit] Price has appeared in Guy Ritchie 's Snatch and several other films, most notably the James Bond film, The World Is Not Enough. He also played gangster Angel Hudson in the British soap opera EastEnders (2001–2002. Price starred in Everybody Loves Sunshine (1999) aka B. U. S. T. E. D. – United States title) with David Bowie. In 2006, he was scheduled to appear in The Games, a UK reality TV show on Channel 4, but during training for the water-ski jump event he fractured his femur and was unable to take part in the show. He was replaced by Adam Rickitt. In 2009, he was reported to be suing the producers of the show for damages as a result of the injury. [18] During August and September 2008, the BBC broadcast Maestro, a reality television show in which eight celebrities, including Price, learned to conduct a concert orchestra. [3] Price was placed second, behind Sue Perkins. On 31 July 2009, the first of a two-part television programme Classic Goldie was broadcast, showing how in the wake of his success in the Maestro programme he learns to write a score for a large orchestra and choir. The resulting composition, commissioned by the BBC and entitled Sine Tempore ( Timeless) was performed at two children's Promenade concerts in the Royal Albert Hall on 1 and 2 August 2009, which featured music connected with Charles Darwin and the creation and evolution of the world. [21] On 24 August 2012, he appeared in the Channel 4 documentary Idris Elba's How Clubbing Changed the World (hosted by Idris Elba) to explain how he invented the revolutionary technique of time stretching by misusing an HF ultra-harmonizer, which is usually used for guitars. He then went on to say that when he crossed this with digital breakbeat, the sound evolved from jungle into drum and bass. In 2014, he appeared on the telethon BBC Children in Need. Art [ edit] In 2007, Price returned to the art world with an art exhibition, Love Over Gold" which was held at the Leonard Street Gallery, London. [22] In 2008, he teamed up with Pete Tong to provide much of the artwork for Tong's new Wonderland club night at Eden nightclub in San Antonio, Ibiza. [23] There was an exhibition of Price's art in Berlin from the 13th to the 26th of June, 2008. [24] In April 2009, a retrospective exhibition titled "Kids Are All Riot" took place in Shoreditch, London, coinciding with the release of his screenprint "Apocalypse Angel. Around 2008, Price's art work was displayed on the London Underground by the arts company Art Below. [25] Personal life [ edit] In the early 1990s, Price had a relationship with drum and bass artist Kemistry, who died in a car accident in 1999. [26] He was romantically involved with singer Björk for several years until their break-up in September 1996. [5] Days later, an obsessed Björk fan named Ricardo López attempted to kill Björk due to his anger over the relationship and ultimately ended up killing himself. In 1998, he bought a country house in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire. [15] 27] In 2002, Hodder & Stoughton published his autobiography, Nine Lives, which he wrote with Paul Gorman. [37] In 2017, Price appeared to reveal the first name of pseudonymous graffiti artist Banksy as "Rob" on Scroobius Pip 's weekly Distraction Pieces podcast. When discussing the rise of commercialism in street art, Price said, Give me a bubble letter and put it on a T-shirt and write Banksy on it and we're sorted. We can sell it now. [13] Career [ edit] 1960s [ edit] Hawn moved to California to dance in a show at a theater across from Disneyland. [13] Hawn began her acting career as a cast member of the short-lived CBS situation comedy Good Morning World during the 1967–68 television season, her role being that of the girlfriend of a radio disc jockey, with a stereotypical " dumb blonde " personality. [4] Her next role, which brought her to international attention, was also as a dumb blonde, as one of the regular cast members on the 1968–1973 sketch comedy show, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. On the show, she would often break out into high-pitched giggles in the middle of a joke, and deliver a polished performance a moment after. Noted equally for her chipper attitude as for her bikini-attired and painted body, Hawn was seen as something of a 1960s "It" girl. [16] Her Laugh-In persona was parlayed into three popular film appearances in the late 1960s and early 1970s: Cactus Flower, There's a Girl in My Soup, and Butterflies Are Free. Hawn had made her feature film debut in a bit role as a giggling dancer in the 1968 film The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, in which she was billed as "Goldie Jeanne" but in her first major film role, in Cactus Flower (1969) she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress as Walter Matthau 's suicidal fiancée. That same year she appeared in NBC 's The Spring Thing a musical television special hosted by Bobbie Gentry and Noel Harrison. Other guests included were Meredith MacRae, Irwin C. Watson, Rod McKuen, Shirley Bassey, and Harpers Bizarre. [17] 1970s [ edit] After Hawn's Academy Award win, her film career took off. She starred in a string of above average and successful comedies starting with There's a Girl in My Soup (1970. 1971) and Butterflies Are Free (1972. She continued proving herself in the dramatic league with the 1974 satirical dramas The Girl from Petrovka and The Sugarland Express, and Shampoo in 1975. She also hosted two television specials: Pure Goldie in 1971 and The Goldie Hawn Special in 1978. The latter was a sort of comeback for Hawn, who had been out of the spotlight for two years since the 1976 release of The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox, while she was focusing on her marriage and the birth of her son. On the special she performed show tunes and comedy bits alongside comic legend George Burns, teen matinee idol Shaun Cassidy, television star John Ritter (during his days on Three's Company) and even the Harlem Globetrotters joined her for a montage. The special later went on to be nominated for a primetime Emmy. Four months later the film Foul Play (with Chevy Chase) was released and became a box office smash, reviving Hawn's film career. The plot centered around an innocent woman in San Francisco who becomes mixed up in an assassination plot. Hawn's next film, Mario Monicelli 's Lovers and Liars (1979) was a box office bomb. In 1972 Hawn recorded and released a solo country LP for Warner Brothers, titled Goldie. It was recorded with the help of Dolly Parton and Buck Owens. AllMusic gives the album a favorable review, calling it a "sweetly endearing country-tinged middle of the road pop record. 18] 1980s [ edit] Hawn's popularity continued into the 1980s, starting with another primetime variety special alongside actress and singer Liza Minnelli, Goldie and Liza Together (1980) which was nominated for four Emmy Awards. In the same year, Hawn took the lead role in Private Benjamin, a comedy she co-produced with her friend Nancy Meyers, who co-wrote the script. Meyers recalls Hawn's reaction when she first described the idea for the story with Hawn as its lead: It was like watching the greatest audience I've ever seen. She laughed and then she got real emotional and her eyes would fill up with tears. She loved the image of herself in an Army uniform and she loved what the movie had to say. [19] Private Benjamin also stars Eileen Brennan and Armand Assante and garnered Hawn her second Academy Award nomination, this time for Best Actress. [4] 20] Hawn's box office success continued with comedies like Seems Like Old Times (1980) written by Neil Simon; Best Friends (1982) written by Valerie Curtin and Barry Levinson; Protocol (1984) co-written by Nancy Meyers; Wildcats (1986)—Hawn also served as executive producer on the latter two; and the World War II romantic drama Swing Shift (1984. At the age of thirty-nine, Hawn posed for the cover of Playboy 's January 1985 issue and was the subject of the Playboy Interview. [21] Her last film of the 1980s was opposite partner Kurt Russell, for the third time, in the comedy Overboard (1987. 1990s [ edit] In 1990 she starred in the action comedy Bird on a Wire, a critically panned but commercially successful picture that paired Hawn with Mel Gibson. Hawn had mixed success in the early 1990s, with the thriller Deceived (1991) the drama CrissCross and opposite Bruce Willis and Meryl Streep in Death Becomes Her (both 1992. Earlier that year, she starred in Housesitter, a screwball comedy with Steve Martin, which was a commercial success. Hawn was absent from the screen for four years while caring for her mother who died of cancer in 1994. [4] Hawn made her entry back into film as producer of the satirical comedy Something to Talk About starring Julia Roberts and Dennis Quaid and made her directorial debut in the television film Hope (1997) starring Christine Lahti and Jena Malone. [4] Hawn returned to the screen again in 1996 as the aging, alcoholic actress Elise Elliot in the financially and critically successful The First Wives Club, opposite Bette Midler and Diane Keaton, with whom she covered the Lesley Gore hit " You Don't Own Me " for the film's soundtrack. Hawn also performed a cover version of the Beatles ' song, “ A Hard Day's Night. on George Martin 's 1998 album, In My Life. She also starred in Woody Allen's musical Everyone Says I Love You (1996) and reunited with Steve Martin for the comedy The Out-of-Towners (1999) a remake of the 1970 Neil Simon hit. The film was critically panned and was not successful at the box office. [22] 23] In 1997, Hawn, along with her co-stars from The First Wives Club, Diane Keaton and Bette Midler, received the Women in Film Crystal Awards. [24] In 1999, she was awarded Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year. [25] 2000s [ edit] In 2001 Hawn was reunited with former co-stars Warren Beatty (her co-star in and Shampoo) and Diane Keaton for the comedy Town & Country, a critical and financial fiasco. Budgeted at an estimated US90 million, the film opened to little notice and grossed only 7 million in its North American theatrical release. [26] In 2002, she starred in The Banger Sisters, opposite Susan Sarandon and Geoffrey Rush, her last live action film for fifteen years. In 2005 Hawn's autobiography, A Lotus Grows in the Mud, was published. 2010s [ edit] In 2013, Hawn guest-starred, along with Gordon Ramsay, in an episode of Phineas and Ferb, in which she provided the voice of neighbor Peggy McGee. [27] 28] In 2017, Hawn returned to the big screen for the first time since 2002, co-starring with Amy Schumer in the comedy Snatched, playing mother and daughter. [29] 30] 31] 32] In 2018, Hawn portrayed Mrs. Claus in the Netflix film The Christmas Chronicles. [33] Personal life [ edit] Hawn has studied meditation. In a 2012 interview, she stated, I don't think of myself as a Buddhist. I was born Jewish, and I consider that my religion. She also stated, It's not the idea of a particular religion that's important; it's the development of a spiritual life. 34] Hawn is a supporter of the LGBT community. Speaking on nations such as Nigeria and others which have criminalized gay people, she denounced these laws, stating, This is man's inhumanity to man, of the first order. 35] Relationships and family [ edit] Hawn's pre-fame boyfriends included actor Mark Goddard and Crooner Spiro Venduras. [36] Her first husband was dancer (later director) Gus Trikonis, who appeared as a Shark in West Side Story. They married on May 16, 1969 in Honolulu, Hawaii and separated on April 9, 1973. [37] 38] Hawn then dated stuntman Ted Grossman, 39] Swedish actor Bruno Wintzell [39] and Italian actor Franco Nero, 40] but did not file for divorce from Trikonis until New Year's Eve 1975, after becoming engaged to musician Bill Hudson of the Hudson Brothers, whom she met the previous summer on a first-class flight from New York to L. A. [41] Hawn was granted a divorce in June 1976 and married Hudson on July 3, 1976 in Takoma Park, Maryland. [42] They had two children, son Oliver (born September 7, 1976) and daughter Kate (born April 19, 1979. Hudson filed for divorce on August 15, 1980. [43] Hawn's next romances were with French actor Yves Rénier, 44] television star Tom Selleck [45] and Moroccan businessman Victor Drai. [46] The divorce from Hudson was finalized in March 1982. [47] Hawn has been in a relationship with actor Kurt Russell since Valentine's Day 1983. [48] The couple first met while filming The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1966, but became involved after re-connecting on the set of Swing Shift. They have a son, Wyatt (born July 10, 1986. 49] Hawn is also the de facto stepmother of Russell and Season Hubley 's son Boston. In 2000 and again in 2004, news outlets reported that Hawn and Russell were on the verge of breaking up. [50] 51] 52] 53] During the alleged separations, Hawn was linked to newsman Charles Glass and Pakistani cricketer and politician Imran Khan. [54] 55] Hawn and Russell, who celebrated 35 years together in 2018, own homes in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; 56] Snowmass Village, Colorado; 57] Manhattan, New York; 58] Brentwood; 59] and Palm Desert, California. [60] The Hawn Foundation [ edit] In 2003 Hawn founded the Hawn Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides youth education programs intended to improve academic performance through "life-enhancing strategies for well-being. 61] 62] The Hawn Foundation has supported research studies conducted by external researchers to evaluate the effectiveness of its educational program for children, called MindUP. The first superstar produced by the breakbeat jungle movement, Goldie popularized drum'n'bass as a form of musical expression just as relevant for living-room contemplation as techno had become by the early '90s. Though he hardly developed the style, and his later reliance on engineers like Rob Playford and Optical to capture his sound puts into question his true musical importance, Goldie became one of the first personalities in British dance music, his gold teeth and b-boy attitude placing him leagues away from the faceless bedroom boffins who had become the norm in intelligent dance music. For the first time, England had a beat maestro and tough-guy head who could match the scores of larger-than-life hip-hop stars America had produced, and the high profile of drum'n'bass as the first indigenously British dance music made Goldie a figure of prime importance. After spending several years working on his production skills at Reinforced Records (the home of 4hero) he founded Metalheadz Records, which released seminal dark yet intelligent singles by Source Direct, Photek, J. Majik, Optical, Lemon D, Wax Doctor, and Peshay, among others. In 1995, Goldie released Timeless, one of jungle's first and best full-length works of art. The album put him squarely at the top of the drum'n'bass heap. at least in the minds of critics and mainstream listeners. though his follow-up, SaturnzReturn, displayed an ambitious, personal side of Goldie hardly in keeping with jungle's producer mentality. A native of Walsall, England, Goldie was born to a Scottish-Jamaican couple and put up for adoption. He bounced around child-care homes and several sets of foster parents during his childhood years, and became fascinated with the rise of hip-hop, breakdancing, and graffiti art. By 1986, he was involved with breakdancing crews around his home of Wolverhampton; after making several trips to London for all-day breakdancing events (and to see hip-hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa) Goldie appeared in the English documentary on graffiti art called Bombing. He also spent time in New York and Miami (working in a market stall selling customized gold teeth) but returned to England by 1988. For a time, Goldie worked at the Try 1 shop in Walsall (also selling gold teeth) then moved to London. He began hanging out with two fellow heads from the British hip-hop scene, Nellee Hooper and 3-D (later of Massive Attack) and by 1991 he'd been introduced to the breakbeat culture that birthed jungle; at the seminal club night Rage, DJs Grooverider and Fabio pitched ancient breakbeats up to 45 rpm, blending their creations with the popular rave music of the time. Goldie was hooked on the sound of raw breakbeat techno, and he gradually switched his allegiance to jungle from the British hip-hop scene that later generated trip-hop. Through his girlfriend DJ Kemistry (later to make her name with the mixing duo Kemistry & Storm) Goldie hooked up with Dego and Mark Mac, two of the most influential figures in the emerging drum'n'bass scene. The duo's Reinforced Records and recordings as 4hero were fostering an increasingly artistic attitude to the music, and Goldie learned much about breakbeat production and engineering at their studios. He recorded his first single as Ajax Project, then debuted on Reinforced as Metalheadz with two 1992 singles, Killermuffin" and "Menace. The 1993 single "Terminator" broke him into the jungle scene. besides pioneering the crucial jungle concept of time-stretching (basically extending a sample without altering its pitch) the single evinced the growing separation between the uplifting rave scene and its emerging dark side, reliant on breakbeats and restless vibes. The name was later taken for his influential Metalheadz Records, which released material from a legion of crucial jungle artists: Photek, Doc Scott, Dillinja, Source Direct, Peshay, J Majik, Alex Reece, Lemon D, and Optical, among others. Later singles such as "Angel" and remixes for 4hero's Reinforced label spread Goldie's fame, and in 1995 he signed a contract with London Records. His first major-label single was "Timeless. and his debut album of the same name followed in August 1995. He gained additional fame in early 1996, when an American tour supporting Björk sparked a relationship between the two and led to a brief engagement period before they called off a wedding. Goldie resurfaced in 1998 with a high-profile follow-up, SaturnzReturn, an epic two-disc set including one track, Mother. that in itself broke the 70-minute barrier. The album tanked with critics and fans, leading to a return to the underground later that year with the Ring of Saturn EP. Save for a handful of mix albums (most notably 2011's Fabriclive 58) two studio efforts credited to Rufige Kru (2007's Malice in Wonderland and 2009's Memoirs of an Afterlife) and Sine Tempus, the 2008 soundtrack to an unreleased film directed by the man himself, Goldie's career over the next two decades became less and less music-focused. He turned his hand to acting, appearing in Guy Ritchie's Snatch, the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, and the perennial BBC soap opera Eastenders. He also appeared on a number of reality TV shows, including Maestro, where he learned how to conduct a symphony orchestra, and Goldie's Band: By Royal Appointment, where he put together a band of unknowns to perform at Buckingham Palace. He was awarded an MBE on the Queen's 2016 Honours list for services to music and young people. A career-spanning compilation, The Alchemist, was released by Rhino in 2013. Goldie's third solo studio album and first in nearly two decades, entitled The Journey Man, came out in 2017 through Cooking Vinyl. Guest vocalists on the album included Terri Walker, Naomi Pryor, José James, and Natalie Duncan, whom he had discovered while making Goldie's Band TV show.
